A month ago, I noticed something troubling in my home. My once vibrant plant was slowly dying. It had been wilting for weeks, its leaves turning yellow, and I kept thinking, “I’ll get to it soon.”
Life is so busy, and honestly, I didn’t have the energy to invest in it.
My plant, much like our own well-being, was neglected.
I decided to start anew. I was determined to help my little plant. I began watering it.
At first, it seemed like nothing was happening. Then, I saw small signs of life: a new little bud sprouted, the color deepened, and then more buds.
It reminded me of the importance of taking the time and effort to nourish something, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.
What a perfect analogy for life and wellness coaching. Sometimes, we are neglectful and we tell ourselves we’re too busy, too tired, or simply too lazy to focus on self-care.
Like my plant, we start to wither, our energy drains, and we feel stuck. But just as I found the time to water my plant, we all have the ability to invest time in ourselves.
Life and wellness coaching is about learning to recognize the areas of your life that need attention. It may be your physical health, mental well-being, or your personal goals.
Sometimes we need to nurture them back to life.
Small, consistent efforts lead to flourishing. Just like my plant, you too can bloom again.
If you’re feeling stuck or depleted, remember: it’s never too late to start. Sometimes, all it takes is a little water.
Warmly,
Annie
